Caring for your HOODED towel

Hooded Change Towels are made from high quality 100% cotton toweling fabric. They are designed and sewn to last many seasons and to still look good for the little brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. By following some of these simple care guidelines you will get the most out of your Hooded towel for many years to come.


Basic Care Instructions

  • Cool/Warm machine wash with similar colours
  • Do not bleach Cool/warm tumble dry
  • Do not iron
  • Do not dry clean

Care Tips

  • Where possible cold wash and line dry.
  • Hang your towel inside out to avoid sun bleaching.
  • Be careful not to over dry your Hooded towel as it will take out the cotton’s natural moisture, making it feel rough and reducing the fibre strength. After drying, give your robe a shake to fluff up the terry loops.
  • Do not use fabric softener as it coats the cotton fibres and actually repels water.
  • Pulled threads may occur if your Hooded towel comes into contact with rough or sharp items. If you do have a pulled thread DO NOT PULL IT. Simply snip off the pulled loop with sharp scissors. As the toweling fabric is woven and not knitted, a pulled thread will not unravel the fabric. Trimming a pulled thread will avoid further pulling and will not affect the durability or performance of your Hooded towel in any way.
  • A little fluffing or pilling is quite normal for cotton toweling in the initial few washes. This will diminish with subsequent washes and tumble drying. Remember to clean out the filters of your washing machine and tumble dryer.

Hooded Waterproof Ponchos are made from nylon shell with a microfiber toweling inside.


Basic Care Instructions

  • Machine wash at 40 degrees
  • Hang dry
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not iron
  • Do not dry clean
  • Do not tumble dry
  • With like color

Care Tips

  • Where possible cool/warm wash and line dry.
  • Hang your poncho inside out so the towel is dried properly before drying nylon

Important information regarding Customs, Taxes and Duties for international orders.

It is important to note that some international orders may incur taxes and duties payable on delivery as determined by the customs agency within the destination country. Many countries have a low value threshold for imports meaning that orders valued below a certain value do not attract any taxes or duties.

In Australia for example the low value threshold is $1000 which means that any goods coming into Australia with values less than $1000 are free from any customs taxes or duties. This threshold is similar in many countries, but if you are unsure about the rules in your destination country we encourage you to check with the local customs agency for that destination. Most answers can be found with a quick Google search.

It is also our experience that the practice of enforcing customs rules and regulation also varies significantly by destination and even within destinations, so local knowledge and experience may also be a helpful guide. If charges are deemed payable when they pass through customs they must be paid by the receiver before they are released for delivery.

When ordering from, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. As Customs policies vary widely from country to country you should contact your local customs office for further information if you are unsure.

We like to remind our international customers that they are responsible for assuring that the product(s) ordered can be lawfully imported to the destination country for delivery.

Returns and Exchanges

At Hooded we are very committed to ensuring that you are 100% satisfied with your purchase. You can always return or exchange any item within 30 days from the purchase date.

All returns and exchanges must be in the original condition and packaging, with either full payment refund or exchange provided once the returned items are received. Products may be tried on for fitting only. Returns or exchanges will not be accepted if the item is not in original condition.

Please choose carefully and check your measurements/colours as the exchange postage charges will be the responsibility of the customer. To exchange an item, simply post it back to us at Hooded, 16 Mawarra Road, Wamberal  NSW   2260 with a note and payment for return postage.

If the product provided is faulty, we will either provide a full refund or replace the product.
